Saying Hello !

Earlier this week I posted 5 cards using products that will be retiring on June 1st.  The new catalog will go live on June 2nd, and today I wanted to show you a card we made with products that are being carried over to the new catalog.
Father's Day is just around the corner.  Moon Lake is a beautiful set. It features just the right amount of masculinity in my opinion.  Whether your man, or friend, likes to fish, swim, or just sit along the sand and watch the world go by, this is the set to get for any occasion.  Here's my card:

Just a little sponging with Sahara Sand, Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky, who wouldn't want to imaging sitting here, just gazing at the sky?  The tree and boat were colored with our Stampin' Write Markers in Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand. I love the softness of this card and hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day. Until next time, happy stamping!

Saying Good-bye

Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Today my post is a sad one, but with a happy "future". While it is very sad to see a lot of my favorites leave the Stampin' Up! catalog, it makes room for new products, new designs, new everything...and still some repeats that will have a home in the new catalog.
At my monthly stamp camp yesterday, we used some products that are retiring and that's what I will show you today. The 2013-2015 In Colors were some of the best I've seen, and I will miss them very much.  I stocked up on the card stock while I could, and most of them are gone now. They didn't last long once the Retired List was posted. So, without further delay, here's 5 of the cards we made.

Baked Brown Sugar cardstock; Subtles DSP; Apothecary Art Stamp Set & Labels Collection Framelits (all retiring)

Crisp Cantaloupe & Baked Brown Sugar cardstock; Postage Due Stamp Set (all retiring)

Coastal Cabana cardstock & ribbon (retiring); Windows Framelits (retiring);  Gifts of Kindness Stamp Set (not retiring) Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe & Coastal Cabana (retiring)

Both the top and bottom cards use Very Vanilla & Melon Mambo cardstock (not retiring); Typeset DSP (being carried over to the new catalog); and a Hostess Set called  Bloom with Hope (retiring)

Want to know the really sad part?  Most of these stamps have never been used prior to yesterday. I have no idea why that is....maybe it's like "so many things to do, and not enough time" ?  I know for sure these sets will not be going anywhere; they are going to stay in my craft room, along with some of their friends, all nice and tucked away in my retired stamp sets drawer.  Maybe in 2 years I can consider giving them a new home.
In a few days I will post the other 2 cards we made that use products that are not retiring.  Stay tuned!
Until then, happy stamping!
